-----SKILLS-----

Passive=Bloodthirst:
• Regenerates 4% of max HP each time you kill a minion. (You need to kill the minion with the last hit.)
• Regenerates 10% of max HP each time you kill a Hero.
NOTE: This Passive skill is what makes Balmond the sustain god. You will nearly never need to go back to base in early/mid game, especially if you have Bloodlust Axe.
NOTE: Make sure to last hit the minions in the lane to make use of this skill. You can literally kill the minions even without minding the enemy hitting you (works in early game, against 1 enemy).

1st Ability=Soul Lock: Dashes to the specified area, dealing (150/175/200/225/250/275 + 0.60 AD) physical damage to all enemies along the way. Balmond will stop if he hits an enemy hero, slowing them by 60% for 2.5 seconds.
Cooldown: 11.0 / 10.5 / 10.0 / 9.5 / 9.0 / 8.5 seconds
NOTE: This is your only mobility skill. Use it wisely in team-fights (for engaging or dis-engaging or attacking). If your team is coming for help or they are already attacking the enemy, use it offensively. If your team isn't there yet and they are far away: use it for escaping. If your team isn't there yet but they are close, do not use your skill unless you're low on HP. When your team arrives, use it offensively if you have high enough HP.
NOTE: You can use this skill for clearing minions waves if they are lined, only if you know where other enemies are (via watching the mini-map) and you will not need to use this skill for escaping/chasing.
NOTE: Never forget the fact that you can't pass through enemy Heroes. If your enemies are aware about this fact, they can counter you by blocking you away from your target.
*SPECIAL NOTE: This skill is very effective for denying enemies' dash skills (Akai's 1st Ability, Freya's jump etc.) which makes this skill a team-fight saver. But this requires prediction and practice.

[MAX FIRST] 2nd Ability=Cyclone Sweep: Rapidly swings his axe (like a BEYBLADE) for 3.5 seconds, dealing (65/80/95/110/125/140 + 0.35 AD) physical damage to all enemies hit every 0.5 seconds.
Cooldown: 7.0 seconds

NOTE: You can not use other skills while using this skill. This skill can only be interrupted by enemies by knocking you airborne. You will still be swinging your axe and dealing damage even if they stun you.
NOTE: You can cancel this skill by re-casting it. Enemies can cancel it by knocking you into air. If enemies cancel it, however, you will not be able to use other skills in this duration. For example, an enemy knocked you airborne 0.5 seconds after you cast this skill, for 1 seconds. You won't be able to use other skills for 2 seconds. You will need to re-cast this skill to become able to use other skills.
NOTE: Having 40% CDR (cooldown reduction) will change Balmond to a Beyblade, constantly swinging his axe 80% of the time. Which is only viable through having blue buff and Bloodlust Axe (because almost all other CDR items are not viable for Balmond).
NOTE: You can NOT cancel this skill instantly. You need to wait for around 1.5 seconds. Do not forget about this fact !

3rd Ability(Ultimate)=Lethal Counter: Deals (350/500/650 + 20% AD) true damage to all enemies in a conical shape of area in the specified direction, slowing them down by 60% for 2 seconds.
Cooldown: 40.0 / 33.0 / 26.0 seconds
NOTE: Using this ultimate when enemy is so close to you is really risky since it's a conical shape, which means the enemy can dodge this skill by making a small move. Use this skill when the enemy is in the middle of specified area. Also, it might be hard to hit it if enemy has a high movement speed. For example:

NOTE: Use this skill after your team deals significant amount of damage to enemy team and when enemies have sticked together. If they seem to be going to split, to dodge your AoE damage, use your ultimate immediately. This will slow them down by 60% for 2 seconds, allowing your team to wombo-combo the enemy team so hard.
NOTE: If you think you will get CC'ed (crowd control'ed), use your ultimate earlier. And then kill the enemy with other skills / auto attacks. If you have started with using 2nd Ability, it might be hard to cancel 2nd Ability and use Ultimate instantly (especially while diving an enemy or enemies). Plan your comboes before going into fights !

-----BUILDS, EMBLEM SETS AND SPELLS-----

Things to know before making an item build for Balmond:
• You will be hopping inside the enemy team during team-fights, which needs tankiness. You need to build tank items otherwise you will die instantly and be useless. Balmond doesn't have high AD scalings either.
• Balmond's most damage comes from his 2nd Ability and Ultimate. If you want to deal more damage, you will need armor penetration. Building heavy AD for higher damage is wrong.
• If you want to deal more damage and have higher mobility, you need to build CDR items since your skills do the most damage and your mobility comes from your 1st Ability which has a cooldown.
• I don't recommend buying Tough Boots (+22 MR and +25% Resilience) since Balmond's 2nd Ability, the main damage source of Balmond, still works even when he's stunned. And the item is so expensive and there are better options.

Full Tank Build: This is the old meta build but it's still very effective. Lacks CDR and a little bit of damage.
1- Warrior Boots (Buying boots first is very important for farming, which is also very important for Balmond. Cheap and effective. If you want more mobility, buy Rapid Boots.)
2- Cursed Helmet (Incredible pushing power and damage, syncronized with your 2nd Ability.)
3- Blade Armor (Very cheap and gives 90 Armor.)
4- Bloodthirsty King (Synergic with Balmond's Passive and tons of HP.)
5- Immortality
6- TANK: Demon's Advent / Heart of Steel / Oracle / Courage Bulwark (You can buy a "de-buff for enemy" or "buff for allies" item in this slot. Which will make you even more tanky and useful for your team). DAMAGE: Wind Chaser / Deadly Blade / Bloodlust Axe / Hunter Strike (Buy Deadly Blade if playing against Estes or Rafaela or more than 2 lifestealer enemies, and if you want more damage output.)

Bruiser Tank Build: Based on the new item, Bloodlust Axe, which functions incredibly well on Balmond. High CDR, GODLY sustain and a little more damage.
1- Rapid Boots or Warrior Boots (Buy Warrior Boots only against teams with high physical damage.)
2- Bloodlust Axe
3- Cursed Helmet
4- Brute Force Breastplate (mobility and damage) or Blade Armor
5- Immortality
6- TANK: Bloodthirsty King. DAMAGE: Wind Chaser or Deadly Blade (Buy Deadly Blade if playing against Estes or Rafaela or more than 2 lifestealer enemies.) (Do not buy a damage item as sixth if there isn't any other tank in your team. Buy Bloodthirsty King, instead.)
NOTE: Do not use this build if you don't have another tank in your team. This build lacks tankiness.

Emblem Set

• I use Physical Assassin Set for it's Armor Penetration and Movement Speed. Armor penetration works really well with Balmond in terms of damage. If you don't have it over level 12-13, use Physical Emblem Set. Use Magic Dusts and upgrade it to level 20 for movement speed and good amount of armor penetration ! It will be worth it.

• If your Roamer Emblem Set is level 20 or higher OR you want more mobility, use it. It also gives a nice little amount of armor penetration.

Spell:

Flicker / Purify / Retribution

• I prefer Flicker for: extra mobility, higher engage ability, ability do engage and dis-engage very quickly. Definitely give this spell a try if you haven't used it yet, especially after the nerfs on Purify.
If you will play in mid-lane, use Retribution. When you play in mid lane with this spell, you can easily get level 12 under 7 minutes.

-----GAMEPLAY, COMBOES AND TIPS & TRICKS-----

THE KEY FACTOR OF PLAYING ANY MOBA SUCCESFULLY: Map Awareness. Watch the map for incoming enemy ganks and warn your team or get ready for the battle. Gank other lanes. Do not focus on single target and use all of your abilities if you don't see other enemies on the map. Warn your allies so that you don't get ambushed.

Lane:
Top or Bottom Lane: You can go with any ally because you have damage, tankiness and mobility. Your early game will be mostly about farming and helping other teammates. Farming Rotation:
• 1st Minion Wave >>> 2 Jungle camps >>> Minion waves >>> Get the jungle camp that's close to you when you are level 4 or almost level 4 (that camp will spawn right after you get there.) >>> Gank other lanes or keep farming.

Mid Lane="It's time to be the highest level hero in the game": If there isn't any hero that relies on going solo and farming, go mid. You can take Retribution Spell in this case. Focus on farming, do not mind it if your enemy is hitting you while you are "Beyblading" the minions since you have an OP passive skill. Farming Rotation:
• 1st Minion Wave >>> The white monster at the bottom side jungle >>> 2nd Minion Wave >>> The closest jungle camp at the top side jungle >>> Minion wave(s) >>> invade enemy's jungle or get the Red buff if your team didn't take it yet. >>> Push your lane and get jungle camps or gank other lanes.
If you farm properly and are lucky, you will get level 12 in under 7 minutes.

NOTE: Taking the Red Buff is INCREDIBLY useful in terms of mobility for Balmond. Because Red Buff gives "10% movement speed when a skill hits + 10% attack and ability damage dealt".

COMBOES:
• Classic Combo: Enemy has enough HP to get killed by your combo + You know where other enemies are(because you will sue your 1st Ability offensively in this situation, which is your only mobility skill.) = [1st Ability >>> 2nd Ability >>> a couple hits + Ult OR only Ult.]
NOTE: You can start this combo with Flicker if you are too far away or you can use Flicker to dis-engage.

• Instant Damage: You need to deal tons of damage instantly + Enemy is running away + You will get CC'ed right after getting closer to enemy(s) = [1st Ability >>> Ultimate >>> 2nd Ability]

Ambush: Enemy is close to you / They come accross the bush you are hiding in / You attack them from their side (behind) + Enemy has a mobility skill (Flicker, Bruno's dash etc.) = [2nd Ability >>> 1st Ability >>> Couple auto attacks >>> Ultimate]

• Utility-Team Fight Combo: Enemies have sticked together + You are able to slow them all down by using your Ultimate and getting the field ready for your teammates = [1st Ability + Ult OR (if you are close enough) only Ult >>> 2nd Ability]
